I'm 56, female. I replaced a 30-yr old Montgomery Wards bike, 27"/1" tires, with the Trek Navigator 3.0 black/gold, 19" frame. Comfort was key in sticking with biking 5-25 miles each weekend on IM Canal. We shopped alot; read many reviews. Being tall, the 19" frame fits oh so nice. +Comfortable. +Upright seating position. +Suspension fork. +Shock absorbing seat. +Sharp, eye-catching bike. +Shimano shifting. 2014 season, I bought 1.5" tires. -Much heavier than my husband's bike. -Needs back fender for mud, puddles, rain. Q. Why doesn't Trek visibly post the weights of their bikes?!?
I wanted a bike to get out with my kids, ride some trails and go around the neighborhood. I have a bad knee and was looking for something comfortable. This bike is all I wanted and more! Jose, from the [...] store, took the time to really find the perfect bike for me. Now my kids are in love with my bike too! Best bike ever!! Great service too!!
I tested the 2.0 and this one. It was a tough decision since both bikes are really amazing. I went with the 3 just because it had a few more speeds and the tires were better. I also loved the new design of the handle bars. Overall I love this bike! I have had a few back surgeries and I am totally fused top to bottom. At 40+ I should be getting more exercise. I didnt feel like this bike was exercise at all. It was so nice to ride,no pressure on my back at all. This bike is good for so many people on so many levels. I did alot of research before deciding on this make and model. Yay!!! Im so excited with my new bike!
