Pros

  • Good Construction

Cons

  • Overpriced
  • Low Quality Suspension

Comments:

The description says that the fork has 80mm of travel. That is incorrect. It's actually only 63mm (check the Trek website directly). Decent bike but seems a bit pricey for what you get.

Bought this for my son as a Christmas present. Took him about a year to figure out what he wanted but it was love at first sight with this Trek 3500. Styling is really nice and he will grow into it at the right time. Shifting is a little tricky and his chain fell off yesterday. ALso the kick stand got loose and rubbed the rear tire. Not big issues. Overall, I give the bike 5 stars. Time will tell if that changes (refer to other posts).

I just recently got into biking this past year. I was trying to keep my bike on the cheaper side in case I didnt enjoy the hobby/sport of biking. Well, I ended up loving it and I think its mostly due to the bike. Tough, reliable and easy to ride. I have put over 300 miles on it in 8 mos, mostly trial ridding. Have not had a single issue with any parts or components yet. Great Buy!

I had jumped it at the most a foot off the ground and the rear axle snapped and happened numerous times. would not recomend this for a kid that wants to ride aggressive.

My brother bought this for me for my birthday, what a great looking bike sweet color also.I could have gotten the 2012 but this color was way sweeter and it was the last one in my size anywhere.I am about 300 lbs and this bike holds me fine went on a bike ride yesterday and loved it.This is a great entry level bike with great quality and price.Get one for sure if you are starting out and then you can upgrade if you want later on,but I can't see my self getting sick of this bike because I am out of shape and this bike is a pleasure to ride.

              Comments:

I purchased this bike in October 2010 and I have loved it ever since. Have taken the bike on the following trails, Dauset, Penola Mountain, Atlanta Beach, Callaway Gardens and general riding where I live. Bike handles and performs great, noisy shifting in the beginning but that has cleaned up with a little bit of work and oil. Great bike, just wish I would have purchased one scale up with disc brakes.
