I use the hip harness and pull the cart hiking. Works well on rough forest roads. Dog likes getting in when he gets tired. Fat tires might work better on rough terrain.

Comfortable and smooth riding for my old companion

About Me

Comments:

I purchased the TailWagon to allow myself a little more exercise after my 15-year-old dog Frankie tires himself out from a 1 mile walk. We've used it together and have had a great time. The TailWagon also doubles nicely as a cargo trailer! My only issue is with the rolling up of the screens - could have a bit better design to keep them rolled up, but I've managed thus far.

Awesome wagon, some minor improvements possible

About Me

Comments:

We love the tail wagon. We're still working on getting one of our pups to ride in it without screeching and get the other to ride in it without trying to jump out, so we haven't been able to use it as much as we'd like. In terms of potential improvements - the wagon was a bit harder to clip open than we think it should've been. It also is pretty large, even when collapsed, which makes storing the wagon in our apartment a challenge. We wish there was an easy way to secure the wheels with the wagon when they're taken off the wagon and/or an easy way to secure the wagon with a lock. My dog loves the Tail Wagon and I love my dog!

About Me

Comments:

I bought the Tail Wagon for my Corgi as she loves to go and I want her to come. She loves the ride and the Tail Wagon is easy to pull when you consider the extra weight. I use it on my mountain bike rather than my road bike just because I wanted a little more stability when my dog moves. The Wagon was easy to put together but I had a problem with my axle being long enough with the extra thickness. It was an easy fix to put in a trainer through axle though and it works great. This makes our rides a lot more fun.

Every aspect of this product is well thought out. Light, balanced and functional. However my dog won't stay in it yet.

Now we can take the whole family

About Me

Comments:

Got a trike and a Burley for my 70th Birthday. Riding the trails as a family (including our service dog) is the best activity in the world. Our pup loves the Burley. He jumps in and loves to look at the world as we whiz by. Then he jumps out, runs along side for awhile, then gets back in when he gets tired. With the Burley, we can go much further than if we didn't have a way to carry him. We were not sure how it would work with a trike, but it works very well. His name is Otto, so we have a banner attached to the Burley that says: "Otto Mobile" We absolutely love it.

Awesome ride

About Me

Comments:

Just do it. Pull the trigger and get this trail wagon. Easy setup, sturdy construction, and very quick training for doggie get accustomed to this ride. Our Czech Shepherd fur baby is 53 lbs, 29 in long and fit inside just fine. It's slightly tight when she lays down, but still fits and she figured out how to maximize the platform by laying diagonally. In future iterations, it would be nice to see Burley 1) add a bit of length to accommodate longer dogs (2 in would be nice) and 2) include off-rpad tires. Remove any excess metal parts on your dogs collar before the ride so it doesn't get stuck on the mesh. Otherwise, it's a great way to get a different workout in by towing extra weight. She loved the trip to the beach and a fellow rider commented, "I love your setup!!!" Excellent product, Burley, keep the pet products coming!
