No more battery problems!

About Me

Comments:

Just bought the RFLKT for the 175 mile Ride Across Wisconsin (RAW). I didn't want to have to use a battery pack to record the ride so chose the RFLKT instead and it exceeded my expectations. I was on the slower end of the pack and by the end of the day (14+ hours including stops) my iphone 6+ still had 20% left on it. I was amazed. No connection issues either as I had read previously. I kept the phone in my right back jersey pocket and had perfect connectivity. The only gap is the delay in the speedometer reading but for all of the other benefits I'll take it.

About Me

Comments:

Been using the RFLKT paired with the Blue SC for a couple of months now, and love them. Generally have to carry my phone anyway during commute, so it made sense. My goal was entry level to gauging my cadence and this combo has done the trick.

Blue tooth connection a problem!

By

About Me

Comments:

The RFLKT is very problematic to start up & connect to my Samsung S7 Edge. I let the Wahoo software turn on my blue tooth, as per instructions, but after connecting the heart rate monitor and the speed/cadans meter, the RFLKT very often gives me problems. Sometimes it is better to connect the smartphone directly to the RFLKT via the BT menue of the smartphone (instead of via the Wahoo app), and sometimes it isn't. All in all: always a gamble if it will connect, and if so, how to establish the connection. A friend of mine had similar experiences. Wahoo: please improve on this !

RFLKT reflects my CycleMeter app

By

About Me

Comments:

I've been using CycleMeter to track my rides for years. After buying a Wahoo TICKR earlier this yr (5 stars), I learned of RFLKT's compatibility with CM. I bought one last week and started using it. Works rating is 4 stars instead of 5: I mistakenly activated the Wahoo Fitness app on my phone one day. Despite killing WF, CM would not connect with RFLKT, not even after iOS reboot. Will need to delete the device from CM and re-add. Would help if better instructions were included with RFLKT on using the buttons and customizing the screens (they prob exist online).

Great stuff! Gotta Love it!

About Me

Comments:

I bought mine about 2 years ago. Use it 2-3 times a week together with my heart rate monitor. I just start the Wahoo app and go. I get Cadence, Heartrate, GPS info, and everything I need without having to pull my phone out. I had a problem once, called customer service and they solved my problem right away. Couldn't be happier with the products as well as the app. The only thing I'd love if the Wahoo trip data would backup online like strava. I usually dump the data to strava after the ride, where even though I do not have a premium account, I have all the premium data available. It's water resistant, rain and sweet not a problem.

Terrible app

About Me

Comments:

The hardware is fine the unit itself works great. The wahoo app for android is garbage. Dropped so many rides drains full battery out of nowhere to zero with no recovery. I have resorted to running strava simultaneously just in case. I like the concept and when it works its great very unreliable though. I get the impression that wahoo really doesnt care. So i guess its time to ditch this junk and buy a garmin.

Good to help motivate whilst on teh bike

About Me

Comments:

The product is easy to attach, comes with 2 different mounts (a rubber band) and back plate that's compatible with a Garmin style mount which needs to be purchased separately. When unboxed, i downloaded the app (Android Play Store) and another app named Utilities. This allowed a firmware upgrade to be done easily ota using bluetooth for the device. One updated and on the bike, i paired using the app. The device does take sometime to Communicate then load pages which can be frustrating when your ready to ride On the bike. I found if my phone went into screen lock whilst communication (pairing) if killed the page load and had to do it again, which is annoying. It pairs well with my Wahoo heart rate monitor too, the REFLKT allows about 4 different screen displaying heart rate, time, ride time, distance and current speed, so you can find one to easy suit your preference. The font can is big and easy to read. You can use the device to pause your ride stats which is handy but it doesn't seem to let you end the ride (although you can create laps). At the end of the ride, its easy to click a button and the ride can be syncd to strava which is a nice feature. Overall good value for money if you want some motivation to push it a little whilst on the ride. Would love the feature to control my music whilst riding using the device but doesnt seem to be available on android at the moment. Another helpful feature i like is the audio summary when using headphones, which tells you every mile and how long its taken, so you know how your progressing. Great device for money, would love the music control and even txt message display (or a menu of auto txt replies) but i guess you wont get that feature for this price.

Comments:

This was the 3rd RFLKT I purchased. The first two at a local bike shop. They couldn't get it to work. So I decided to buy directly from the website. After two months the thing doesn't work. I will never buy a Wahoo product again.
